Dry times good times for Curtis Road project
SAVOY – Recent drought-like conditions have been good for at least one project: the new Curtis Road-Interstate 57 interchange.
The $13.5 million project was expected to be done in December, but the Illinois Department of Transportation engineer at the site said November won't be a problem, given that dry conditions have made it easier to move the massive amounts of earth to build the interchange's ramps.
