Senate rejects budget passed by House Dems
SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Senate on Wednesday passed a nonbinding resolution rejecting the budget House Democrats passed last month.
"What this resolution does is finally put a line through Senate Bill 1132 on the menu of options available at the Capitol cafeteria," said state Sen. Jeff Schoenberg, D-Evanston. "The kitchen is not going to serve up Senate Bill 1132, and I agree with everyone else that we need to move on."
