Pickles' run: Lot of hits, few errors
CHAMPAIGN – When Doug Carson opened Pickles in 1989, there was "a relative void" for that type of restaurant in Champaign, he said.
In the years since, TGI Friday's, Cheddar's, Chili's and Applebee's have all come to Champaign, splitting the market for casual dining.
