Mahomet man convicted of two robberies

URBANA – A Mahomet man whose crack cocaine using binge prompted him to rob two gas stations in the space of a few hours faces up to 60 years in prison when sentenced next month.

A Champaign County jury deliberated about 75 minutes Wednesday before convicting Anthony Harris, 33, whose last known address was in the 800 block of Franklin, of two counts of aggravated robbery. Judge Heidi Ladd set sentencing for July 25.
