Champaign standoff ends without injury
A standoff at a Champaign motel ended peacefully and without injury on Friday evening.
A man, woman and girl were taken from the Red Roof Inn in a Champaign police car at about 6:50 p.m. Friday. Champaign police Chief R.T. Finney said the man was wanted on a warrant, but that his department was acting on behalf of the LeRoy and Mahomet police departments.
