Court date Monday for Champaign man after standoff
URBANA – A Champaign man accused of a standoff with police at a Champaign motel Friday is scheduled to appear in court Monday.
Jacob Morrissey, 18, who listed an address in the 500 block of Alabama Avenue, was arrested on warrants from Champaign County and the Illinois Department of Corrections after a standoff of nearly four hours at the Red Roof Inn at 212 W. Anthony Drive, C, according to a press release from Mahomet Police Chief Jerry Gamble.
