Champaign man now faces murder charge

URBANA – A Champaign man already charged in a stabbing now faces a murder charge.

Derrick L. Wilson, 33, was charged in three counts with first-degree murder for the stabbing death of Jerry Lee Bland II. Mr. Bland, 41, was pronounced dead at 10:08 a.m. July 4 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.
