Neighbors concerned about plans for Mahomet condos
MAHOMET – An area developer and the village are working together to solve two problems – develop an awkward-shaped lot in Mahomet and alleviate flooding that plagues areas of State Street, Augusta Drive and North Division Street.
But the lot's zoning must be changed before the project begins, and some neighbors aren't sure they want to live near condominiums. The village board will hear about the project at its study session at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Mahomet Administrative Building.
