Man arrested for battering three boys in Urbana

URBANA – A man who had been drinking too much was arrested after attacking some boys in an east Urbana neighborhood, according to Urbana police.

The report said the intoxicated man was walking in the 1200 block of East Florida Avenue about 6:30 p.m. when he approached two 10-year-olds and a 16-year-old who were playing in the area. He battered the boys, throwing something at them, then ran away, officials said.
