Animal shelter director called up for second tour of duty
DANVILLE – Almost a year to the day since he returned from active duty with the Army, Vermilion County Animal Shelter Director Shane Boyer has received orders again.
The Westville native and Army reservist leaves in August for another year of duty with the 329th Infantry of the Army Reserve in Fort Benning, Ga., where he will train recruits. Boyer received his orders a week ago.
