Danville City Council rejects retailing business request
DANVILLE – City council members failed to pass a zoning petition that would turn a vacant building into an auto-detailing business, but they could vote on the issue again at the next city council meeting.
Anthony and Nicole Dye petitioned the zoning committee earlier this month to open an automotive detailing business at 104 Porter St. The Danville Area Planning and Zoning Committee approved their request by a 5-1 vote. Chairman Ken Cunningham opposed it because several neighbors opposed it.
