Man has ring stolen by scam artists
PENFIELD – A 77-year-old Potomac man was the victim of scam artists at an antique tractor show in Penfield last week.
Champaign County sheriff's Lt. Ed Ogle said the Potomac man was riding a golf cart about 11:15 a.m. Friday, on the grounds of the I&I Tractor Club at the northeast corner of Penfield, when a younger man jumped on and offered to introduce him to a lottery winner.
