Urbana fire chief accepts Iowa job
ANKENY, Iowa – Urbana Fire Chief Rex Mundt has accepted the fire chief's job in Ankeny, Iowa, a suburb of Des Moines.
Mundt, fire chief in Urbana for eight years, will start his new duties in Ankeny, a city of about 41,000 residents, on Oct. 1. His last day in Urbana will be Sept. 30.
