Charter firm complains about MTD
CHAMPAIGN – A local charter company has complained to the federal government about the Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District leasing buses to another district for a golf tournament.
In July, the MTD leased eight 60-foot articulated buses to the Rock Island County Metropolitan Mass Transit District (also known as MetroLINK) to help shuttle patrons and volunteers of the John Deere Classic.
