National Night Out focusing on safety
CHAMPAIGN – More than 35 agencies and organizations will gather at West Side Park in Champaign on Tuesday for an evening of community safety awareness.
The program, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the park at Church and Randolph streets in Champaign, will be hosted jointly by Champaign and Urbana police departments and be part of the National Night Out, which will mark 24 years of efforts to help communities prevent crime and drug activity.
