Urbana mayor plans training for police review board
URBANA – It may be months before a newly approved police review board is up and running, because Mayor Laurel Prussing said she wants the seven board members to undergo extensive training.
Prussing said the review board will be the first of its kind in the area and that she wants it to succeed. To that end, she said she will carefully choose appointees and make sure that they undergo plenty of training before they begin reviewing citizen complaints.
