Power co-op completing replacement of recalled parts

PAXTON – The Eastern Illini Electric Cooperative is nearly finished replacing connectors in a junction box on water heaters, a process it began in February.

The co-op has checked some 2,500 homes and about 20 have not responded to letters or phone calls, according to Mike Wilson, spokesman for the cooperative.
