Second school aid deadline missed
SPRINGFIELD – Public schools missed a second round of state aid payments Monday because there was still no state budget in place.
"We are trying to wait patiently for the budget to be finished," said Ben Schwarm, associate executive director for the Illinois Association of School Boards. "But we're feeling more and more frustration among the school districts, with good reason, I think."
