Combine clipped at crossing
ELLIS – An 86-year-old Cheneyville man escaped a train-combine collision on Tuesday afternoon with only minor injuries.
The collision occurred at 12:25 p.m. on 3550 North Road, about one mile east of Illinois 49 and 1 1/2 miles north of Ellis, Vermilion County sheriff's Deputy Lance Vecellio said.
