Coroner: Man drowned after boating accident
DANVILLE – A local man died from drowning after a boating accident on the Wabash River in Indiana over the weekend, the Vermillion County coroner ruled Tuesday.
Michael S. Wiles, 50, of Danville, drowned after the motorboat he was driving hit a log jam on Saturday and one of his passengers, a girl, was thrown overboard. The Ford County sheriff's office reported earlier that the girl was Wiles' daughter.
