Two men with handgun rob Champaign motel

CHAMPAIGN – Police are investigating an armed robbery at a Champaign motel Wednesday night.

Champaign police Lt. Joe Gallo said a clerk at the Microtel Inn and Suites, 1615 Rion Drive, reported that two men came into the lobby at 7:27 p.m. Wednesday.
