Shoveling plan gets clearance
CHAMPAIGN – For property owners in two major areas of Champaign, the decision whether to shovel the sidewalk after a snowfall soon won't be elective anymore.
Following more than two hours of debate Tuesday night, the city council backed a compromise specifying when and where sidewalk snow shoveling should be required this coming winter.
