Man faces charges after eluding officers

URBANA – A Bellwood man is in Champaign County Jail this morning on drug charges after leading police officers on a chase and ultimately being found hiding in a barn near Foosland.

Champaign County Sheriff's Sgt. Dan Coile said shortly after 1 a.m., state police from Ashkum stopped a car southbound on Interstate 57 at Gilman for a traffic violation. The driver, Latrice Davis, 32, of Chicago, was arrested for driving while her license was suspended.
