Champaign school report cards get upgrade in some classes
CHAMPAIGN – When parents of children at Barkstall and Kenwood elementary schools see the first report cards of the school year this week, they'll get more specifics about their children's progress than in the past.
Children from kindergarten to third grade will get a new report card, being used in the Champaign school district for the first time this year for the lower elementary grades. The district is still working on a new report card for grades four and five, which will be piloted this year in some classrooms.
