Law gets tough on predators' technology use
SPRINGFIELD – Gov. Rod Blagojevich signed legislation on Tuesday cracking down on predators who use technology to try to lure children.
"It's an important bill because it reflects the changing nature of sex crimes and sex offenders' behavior," said Lyn Schollett, general counsel for the Illinois Coalition Against Sexual Assault. "Today, technology is often used to lure vulnerable populations, especially children, and children have so much access to technology."
