Vermilion County panel sends budget to full board
DANVILLE – County officials delivered a budget with no increase in the tax levy, but two members of the county's finance committee are still not ready to show their support for the spending plan.
County board members Bill Grubb, R-District 3, and Lori DeYoung, D-District 2, both want more information on the budget, which proposes about $43.4 million in revenues and $43 million in expenses for a surplus of $375,131 and a property tax levy of $12.4 million, the same as last year.
