Man gets 46 years in prison for selling drugs
DANVILLE – A longtime East Central Illinois drug dealer on Thursday was sentenced to 46 years in prison for selling several thousand dollars worth of drugs in Vermilion and Champaign counties in 2004.
Vermilion County Circuit Judge Claudia Anderson sentenced Steven Couch, 43, of Mahomet, to two consecutive 26-year terms, each for one count of unlawful delivery of cocaine. She also sentenced him to a concurrent 20-year term for a third count of unlawful delivery of cocaine, and a concurrent five-year term for one count of unlawful delivery of marijuana.
