Demolition-delay ordinance gets tentative support in Urbana
URBANA – In a move designed to help save historic homes in Urbana, the city council has given its tentative backing to a demolition-delay ordinance.
The proposed ordinance would require owners of many older city homes to wait 45 days before they can obtain a demolition permit from the city.
