New transit district receives OK to take part in suit
URBANA – A judge has ruled that the new Champaign Southwest Mass Transit District can join in a suit against the Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District.
Scott Tapley of Champaign, who is a member of the Champaign County Board, filed a suit in 2005 on behalf of residents of southwest Champaign for an injunction that would prevent the C-U MTD from voting to annex their land to the district.
