City plans to brighten section of Garden Hills subdivision
CHAMPAIGN – Bill Bland has lived in Garden Hills for 36 years. It's a proud, working-class neighborhood that he's trying to maintain as a good, safe place to live.
Bland, the president of the Garden Hills Neighborhood Association, said he's thrilled that the city council recently approved spending $132,000 to install 17 new streetlights along Hedge Road in Garden Hills.
