Section 8 expansion to Iroquois County considered

DANVILLE – The Danville Housing Authority may expand its Section 8 service to neighboring Iroquois County as a way to spend more of its money.

Executive Director Greg Hilleary said officials are investigating the possibility, especially after a recent audit found that the housing authority spent less than the required 95 percent of its Section 8 money. The housing authority will meet Thursday to discuss the audit.
