Woman gets 8 years for arson
URBANA – An Indiana woman who set fire to an elderly Urbana woman's home was sentenced Friday to eight years in prison.
In September, a Champaign County jury convicted Crystal Myrick, 30, of Bloomington, Ind., of residential arson for a fire that damaged the home of Betty Zook at 806 E. Park St., U, on Dec. 27. Zook, who was home and reading that evening, smelled smoke and was able to get help before the fire grew to serious proportions.
