Rantoul skateboarders get new place to spin wheels
RANTOUL – The Rantoul skate park is now open for energetic youths wanting to practice and perfect their Ollie's, frontsides and heelflips.
The village board bought the 4-year-old equipment from Paris in Edgar County and had it installed on two tennis courts at Wabash Park. Recreation director Rich Thomas said the project stayed under its $20,000 budget, and the same equipment purchased new would have been twice that.
