Savoy developer pushes for MTD deal

SAVOY – Statements about Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit service made by the chief operating officer of Trinitas Ventures, the developer of the Village at Colbert Park apartments, sparked a heated discussion among Savoy Village Board members.

On Wednesday, the board held a second public meeting for community members to offer feedback on the draft of a proposed annexation agreement with the MTD. The agreement offers a phased approach for the MTD's annexation of the village over the next 25 years.
