Champaign, UI officers investigate two attacks
University of Illinois and Champaign police are jointly investigating two rape attempts in the campus area early Wednesday.
Champaign police were sent to investigate a report of a woman being attacked at 2:19 a.m. Wednesday. A woman told them she was walking in the alley in the 300 block of East Daniel Street toward Third Street when a stranger approached and hit her on the head, according to police.
