Neil project planned
CHAMPAIGN – Starting Monday, both southbound lanes of Neil Street will be closed for 12 days in the downtown area to allow the city to replace a sanitary sewer line.
The closure of Neil Street will be from Main/Church street south to Park Street, a one-block distance. If weather cooperates, Cross Construction Inc. of Urbana expects to finish the job and reopen Neil by Nov. 16, according to T.J. Blakeman, a city planner.
