Firefighter arrested for arson in one Loda fire
LODA – A Loda firefighter was arrested for arson Monday evening in connection with one of about a dozen suspicious fires reported around the village in recent weeks.
Steven M. Stout, 23, a two-year veteran of the Loda Fire Protection District, admitted to investigators that he intentionally set the most recent fire – at a residence owned by Ashley Fulk, his estranged girlfriend – and then reported it to the fire department, according to a press release from the Iroquois County Sheriff's Department.
