Monticello cabin now part of educational exhibition
MONTICELLO – Caleb Tatman's craftsmanship stood the test of time. His oak log cabin stood on the banks of the Sangamon River in Monticello for more than 150 years before crews from Rockome Gardens removed it Wednesday.
The cabin will join other area structures and era replicas at Rockome Gardens, southeast of Arthur, as part of an educational exhibit showing the timeline of American farms.
