St. Joseph liquor store won't have drive-through
ST. JOSEPH – There will not be a drive-through window at St. Joseph's soon-to-be-open liquor store after owner Steve Chahine determined the public and village board didn't like the speedy-service idea.
Chahine originally planned to put a window on the south side of the building – owned by Gary Johnson and the site of the former Do It Best hardware store – on a wall that faces a downtown alley that takes traffic east off of Main Street to the St. Joseph Township-Swearingen Memorial Library.
