Late leaf drop leads to extra week of pickup in Urbana
URBANA – It's been an unusually warm fall. So much so that even the trees in Champaign-Urbana were a few weeks tardy in dropping their leaves.
Urbana this week announced that it was adding a fifth week of leaf pickup this year, from Dec. 10-14, for the first time ever, according to Rod Fletcher, Urbana's environmental manager.
