Agency, Qwest reach $5.8 million settlement

SPRINGFIELD – The State Universities Retirement System this week settled its own case against Qwest Communications International after declining to participate in a class-action lawsuit over alleged accounting irregularities.

"In this case, it was a wildly successful move," said retirement system Executive Director Dan Slack.
