Death of woman found in creek ruled homicidal
URBANA – An Urbana woman whose body was found in the Boneyard Creek could not have died from simply falling off the bridge, according to testimony Thursday at a coroner's inquest. The coroner's jury ruled the death of Heather Muntean, 30, was homicidal.
Champaign County Coroner Duane Northrup said Ms. Muntean was pronounced dead at 8:22 a.m. May 16 where her body was found in the Boneyard Creek beneath a pedestrian bridge in the 300 block of North Race Street, Urbana.
