Danville officials expanding use of geographic information

DANVILLE – A few years ago, the city's geographic information system helped economize city garbage collection by analyzing collection routes to make them more efficient.

Now, city officials are expanding the GIS system to provide information and data analysis for several city functions, including rental registration research.
