Two new laws aimed at meth
Here is a sampling of some of the laws that kick in today:
– SB 274 makes it a felony to attempt to possess, procure, transport, store or deliver anhydrous ammonia in an unauthorized container, and SB 55 makes it a felony to knowingly use false identification to obtain any of the ingredients needed to manufacture methamphetamines. A related law, HB 624, makes a driver under the influence of meth subject to all existing DUI penalties.
