Hundreds of customers lose power in Champaign
CHAMPAIGN – AmerenIP expected to have a long power outage that started early today for hundreds of customers in Champaign fixed this morning.
Triggered by a burned cable, the outage initially knocked out power for 568 customers in the west central area of Champaign starting just after 1:35 a.m., said Ameren spokesman Leigh Morris.
