Officials investigate deadly chase

DANVILLE – The state police and Vermilion County sheriff's office continue to investigate a police chase Wednesday night that ended in a crash, killing the driver of the van being chased.

Alexis Torres, 22, of Danville died after he lost control of his Ford van on Jackson Street in the same block as Danville High School, according to Larry Thomason, director of public safety for Danville.
