Champaign man pleads innocent to murder charges
URBANA – The fatal shooting of a Springfield man and wounding of two Champaign men apparently stemmed from an argument at a crowded party, a prosecutor said in court Monday.
Charmell D. Brown, 24, who listed an address in the 3200 block of West John Street, Champaign, was arraigned and pleaded innocent Monday to three counts of first-degree murder and two counts of aggravated battery with a firearm.
