Lawyer arrested for bringing gun to courthouse
URBANA – An 80-year-old Champaign attorney was arrested Tuesday afternoon for bringing a loaded handgun into the Champaign County courthouse.
Richard Paterson, who has an office in the Lincoln Building at 44 E. Main St., was arrested about 1:40 p.m., according to Sheriff Dan Walsh.
