Lawyer pleads innocent to gun charge
URBANA – The attorney for a lawyer who brought a gun into the Champaign County Courthouse Tuesday said his client's actions were a "total fluke."
Richard Paterson, 80, whose office is in the Lincoln Building at 44 E. Main St., C, appeared before Judge Jeff Ford in a sport coat but handcuffed on Wednesday to be arraigned on a charge of unlawful use of weapons, a felony.
