School funds to be released at long last
SPRINGFIELD – The long, tense wait for promised school funding is finally over.
"That will be tremendous news for us," said Mark Denman, associate superintendent for the Danville schools, which are due to get about $2.5 million. "We did not include that in our budget, because we didn't want to end up spending money that may not be coming, but it would be very welcome and appreciated."
